Obviously not a definitive statement but... (from Twitter)

Word from MCFC is they are finished recruiting for this window but could still have players leaving, mostly on loan then review in summer.
As stated though, if we're looking to push something through last minute, we would in all likelihood try to keep it under wraps.

I wouldn't trust anyone with 'footballagent46' as their twitter name for a start. That just screams ''LOOK AT ME and afford me crediblity, please!!''

Weirdly we cannot afford Alves, the FFP rules are too close now and there aren't enough players to offload to offset his contract on the books.

I'm not entirely sure of his stature within the game but he comes across as quite genuine.

If you look at the players we have let go -

RSC - Ade - Bridge - (poss SWP)

Also AJ / Balo injured

I don't think we need to bring in any defensive players i would of thought either a striker or attacking midfielder.

Lukaku or Gourcuff is my guess - outside the box guess Benzema

If there was a target I think the bid would have to go In today or it might be to late to get players medical and etc done

If true about Torres wanting out, then that would be a real show of power if we gazzumped Chelsea.

Also, if true it would be foolish if we didn't give it a go ....

3days ago I hear

city Gourcuff secret talks

tolmie is this really true???

Gourcuff would be a good signing but as a playmaker would we play him instead of Barry or as a backup for Silva. Not sure I can see him accepting a bit part.

Toure - De Jong - Gourcuff sounds balanced enough for me with Silva also in the team in the "front three", less defensive than Toure - De Jong - Barry but at the same time not all-out attack as De Jong is purely defensive and Toure is can do either.

where has anyone 'itk' even hinted at Gourcuff?

can't see that move myself. Doesn't seem like a Mancini type.

Does anyone know what this says? I took five years of French and can't remember a thing. :|

Arrived in Lyon at the very end of transfer window, Yoann Gourcuff has not quite convinced on the banks of the Rhone, the fault benefits too erratic. More generally, the whole of his year has been chaotic, whether at club or national team. Despite the great loss of speed in his career, the French international is in the viewfinder of several big European clubs. He particularly inflame the lusts of Manchester City, according to The Progress. The cell recruitment following Gourcuff Citizens for months and could see him as someone able to liquefy his game, rather poor since the beginning of the season. While it might well lose Carlos Tevez, the wealthy Mancunian club, third in the Premier League, will he to attack this winter? Response from 1 January next year. Recall that the Briton was wounded in the ankle since November. He is currently in recovery but remains very uncertain for the trip to Marseille on Sunday.

OL - Manchester City has sights on Gourcuff
Arrived in Lyon at the very end of transfer window, Yoann Gourcuff has not quite convinced on the banks of the Rhone, the difficulty positively too erratic. More generally, the whole of his year has been chaotic, whether at club or national team.

Despite the great loss of speed in his career, the French international is in the viewfinder of several big European clubs. He particularly excites the desires of Manchester City, according to The Progress. The Citizens recruitment body have been following Gourcuff for months and could see him as someone able to improve his game, which has been rather poor since the beginning of the season. While it might well lose Carlos Tevez, the wealthy Mancunian club, third in the Premier League, will he to attack this winter? Answers from 1 January next year.

Remember that the Briton has an ankle injury since November. He is currently in recovery but remains very uncertain for the trip to Marseille on Sunday."

This is awesome, Tolmie posts one video of a clock ticking and Bluemoon's transfer forum goes ballistic. :)

I would hardly say "ballistic".

Some of us are exceptionally bored and desperate for a smidge of news......
