Absolute class keeper, has future England #1 written all over him. So, what is Bobby to do about the Joe situation if we do go on and secure that elusive 4th spot? Lets go on the assumption that theres not a fucking sniff of us selling permanently, because there isn't.
A) Call him back and have him sit on the bench? Harsh. The lad is a number one keeper....maybe not for City at this precise moment in time, but definitely for a team like Brum who he has single handedly kept in games at times. All due respect to them, but they arent a top half team without Joe Hart.
B) Let him stay on loan at Brum but with a call back clause in the contract should anything happen to Shay. That way he keeps playing first team footy, and our arses are covered should Given get injured.
C) Is there another option?
I would have to go with option B personally. He has come a hell of a long way in one season alone, and can only benefit from continuing to play first team footy. Calling him back and having him sit on the bench is going to stunt his rapid progress, and possibly create an animosity between he and the club.
What would you do in Bobby's shoes?
