Slightly away from the main thrust of this thread but why isn't he away with the Italy squad? Thought he was a big player for them?

Prandelli tried his hardest to fix Mario and get his head straight so started him in almost every game, when Prandelli left he said that, surprise surprise, Mario was too much to handle.
