Early hours of Sunday, we beat Derby 1-3 on the Saturday before and Swansea Town, 1-0, the week after.
I was born in the late Spring of that year so that was the first City match after I was born. City were relegated that season also.I was born on the 15th Aug 62 & three days later we lost 8-1 away to Wolves! its a wonder my dad didnt think I was a bringer of bad luck?
Some great attendances in those days, I’ve just been looking at some of these postings and the corresponding results from the 1950’s, early 60’s as my Dad was a match going City fan in those days, along with his brothers.FA Cup 3rd round v Trafford Tramps @ Maine Road, 29 January 1955
City 2 Tramps 0

24th September 62 the 0-0.À 0-0 in the League Cup on the day i was born, and as I arrived around 0230, I assume the game was after that.
It was the first of three matches to decide the tie, which we eventually won 4-2, anf an 3-3 draw in the second game. We'd also played them on the Saturday before, two days previously, and that ended 2-2.
The first league game after my birth was a 0-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers at Maine Road.
Correct.24th September 62 the 0-0.
