Having had our last 10 years, I'll die happy even if we never win another trophy. The joy and elation I've experienced over the last 10 years has been unsurpassable. The emptiness I feel as the clock ticks down in every game is the same now as it was 30 years ago when we were dire, at the thought that I was getting to the end of the game, and I'd have to wait for another 4 or 7 days before I could get to cheer and sing again. Now, I get a lot more pleasure during games, but the thrill is the same - it just happens a lot more often.
The sadness at the end of the season nowadays isn't quite the same, usually because we've won something, and I actually look forward with joy and optimism to the next campaign, rather than looking forward just ritually. That's been a very novel experience after all our years in "the darkness."
It's these experiences that make every trophy special. Some are bigger and better than others. We've yet to get what others consider to be the "big one", the Champions League, and I guess I will celebrate like a child should we ever win it, but, the ecstasy of our Aguero moment is unlikely - ever - to be matched.
So, in answer to the question, "What will we have won 10 years from now?" I wouldn't dare to tempt fate, but would simply ask, "Can I have more of the same again, please God?"
