One of Kidscan's brilliant PhD Student Coleen Quinn is in today's (07/03/14) Manchester Evening News (pg 27). She is discussing her research into the psychological wellbeing of children undergoing cancer treatment.

To find out more about Coleen's research, please watch our piece on Granada Reports - <a class="postlink" href="http://tinyurl.com/KidscanGranadaReports" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://tinyurl.com/KidscanGranadaReports</a>.

In a shitty world with terrible news seemingly 24/7 sometimes a good story appears. Well done that girl for beating cancer, not giving up and then going on to help others.

Why not take part in KidsCan's Annual Golf Tournament!
Monday 9th June at DeVere Mottram Hall Hotel in Cheshire.

De Vere Mottram Hall Championship golf course is set in 270 acres of Cheshire’s finest parkland, located one mile from the picturesque village of Prestbury, and was the host venue for the 2013 European Senior’s PGA Championship. The 7,006 yard 18-hole, Par 72 Championship golf course comprising of magnificent parkland fairways dotted with oak and beech trees and tricky, well-guarded greens is broken up into two contrasting circuits of nine. The front nine, with its impressive back-drop of the 18 Century Hall, gently rolls over meadowland and offers the golfer many chances to make a score. The back nine winds through some lush woodland and is a much more demanding test of golf. Click here to take a closer look.

We start the day at 11:30am with hand-carved bacon rolls and fresh coffee, overlooking the golf course from the Thomas Suite.

Then, teams will head out for 18 holes of championship golf.
Awards will be given for the longest drive and nearest the pin.

Finally, after a challenging afternoon on the golf course, we’ll get a chance to relax and socialise in the sun as we enjoy a traditional hog roast prepared by Mottram Hall’s talented chefs.

We will round off the evening with presentations and a charity raffle.

I could see if you could come along for the hog roast and prize giving after the golf tournament itself if that's of any interest?!
