What would you change about our match day experience?

Sack off the stadium and start again in a venue that lends itself to a football atmosphere and has acceptable transport links.

Make tickets available to, and affordable for, priced out legacy fans and the next generation of passionate working class lads a and lasses.

Turn down the PA system.

Tell the stadium announcer to let us do our own thing.

Get rid of the fast version of Blue Moon.

Tell the stewards to back the fuck off.

Desperately need a better, anthemic, rousing walkout music.
But please - not one produced especially - that's twee.
Boys in Blue is a great nostalgic and meaningful City song...... but probably not one that's going to get the stadium on it's feet, nor to send our gladiators off to combat to.

Match Days seem too kid orientated these days with shouty presenters playing especially to that.
Going to the match with your parent was a rights of passage - part of growing up and entering the fascinating adult World. That' s what made it fascinating and special. Now it's just like a kindergarten or school day experience.

Like we are dumb!it’s worse on a fa cup home game to for some weird reason.

1. Get a manager
2. Sign some exciting new players
3. Sell the dross
4. Guarantee a win with each game
5. Slow down blue moon and stop the clappy version

I think this has been so so apparent this season. Feels like our kick off times have been even more all over the place and it has a huge impact on the atmosphere and crowd.

The 7pm kick off on a Sunday night the day before people go back to work after xmas just sums up how little disregard the PL have for match going fans. There should be 4 or 5 kick off times every weekend with the majority being 3pm on a Saturday. What is there now, 11/12 different kick off time variations, its just ridiculous.

I'm lucky in a sense i don't have far to travel, but for those fans coming from Scotland, down south, Wales etc it must be a complete nightmare.

It’s pushing more fans away from attending (not just our fans but others at other clubs to!

I do agree with this. I think it's fine having family friendly areas outside the ground, but kids today need more exposure to a proper footballing crowd. Cover them in piss, make sure they keep their head down when they walk past the religious nutter or an away fan and teach them swear words early. Didn't do my any harm and I've been out of jail for 3 years now.

I am looking forward to the fanzone but I suspect that it could be packed and inaccessible for many.

Transport into Manchester in midweek evenings is damaging the attendance of out of town City fans. That is down to inadequate national transport infrastructure but that is a problem that City cannot address.

This season has been my worst attended for pretty much all my adult life, and on top of that, watching at home has been a bit of a damp squib as well. Getting fired upfor 8pm footy would involve a change of lifestyle for me.
Fuck knows how any working supporters with season tickets get on.

My next is stop with the fucking 'tributes' to dead supporters. Every game we get someone asking us all to clap or stand in silence because someone i've never heard of or didn't know has died.

“In the 5th minute”. Start clapping at 5.01 (otherwise known as the 6th minute)

Congratulations on your extended freedom .

I agree with your sentiments. As a kid the first 4 or 5 years of attending should be one of brief glimpes of green. It should always include having to bob and weave, jumping up and down, standing on a box, or other creative ways of seeing bits of action. Completely spoilt this generation.

Outside the ground where the food stalls are, make them queue up 90° to the way they queue up now where they just jut right in the bloody way of everyone walking around the stadium.

Have a track on the floor in the concourse areas that is only for people walking round so that you don’t have to slalom through people eating and drinking when making your way to your block.

Resurface around the outside of the stadium with proper drainage so these giant puddles that occur when it rains don’t happen.

Stop making the content on the screens like it’s a TV show. Listening to randoms talk a load of small talk before the game or at half time doesn’t build the atmosphere. We don’t need presenters, we don’t need interviews, we don’t need anything but some tunes through the speakers and goals on the screens.

Bin off DJs playing pre-recorded dance mixes, pretending they’re actually mixing the tracks live, twiddling knobs and pressing buttons that are doing nowt, putting their headphones to one ear for no reason… it’s the equivalent of someone miming a song at a live performance.

If we insist on having light shows, always have them City related. Don’t have wolves howling and some demon with an evil laugh on Hallowe’en, they have nowt to do with Ciry or football.

Do not allow fans of the away team anywhere other than the away stand.
Ban all colours of other teams no matter who it is, even if it’s not the team we’re playing that day. No shirts, coats, hats, scarves etc. of anyone in the home stands other than City.
Ban half’n’half scarves.

Put netting up around the away stand on CL nights.

Get more local people in the ground. I’m sure Chad from Chesapeake, Bruce from Brisbane and Vlodimir from Vilnius who supported Arsenal 15 years ago or even still do now, really enjoy their days out at the Etihad, but I want more locals in the ground. Open up ticket windows first to people with an ‘0161’ area code, have price initiatives for ‘0161’ area codes.

Get more youngsters in the stadium at affordable prices. I say this about once a month, but it should be taken on board at the club; at Anfield it’s £9 for juniors for every PL game in every stand and has been for years, for 10 years at Old Trafford it was £13 for juniors for every PL game in every stand… at City it was £30.50 for kids against Villa in the new Guardiola Stand, our kids paid more to attend than Villa adults did. How are low income local families going to afford it time and time again? When our next generation of fans are all armchair fans because they have no history of attending games and are used to not doing so, who’s going to attend the games when I’m dead?

Get more fans into CL League Phase games. We never asked for extra games to pay for, that was forced on us, so stop charging semifinal prices for League Phase games just because it’s Inter or PSG when there is an extra game to pay for in that phase of the competition. People are going to pick and choose games and overall attendances will be down. Introduce CL Value Gold STs for non-ST holders. For existing ST holders, up the price of our STs slightly (not by much) and include CL League Phase games as part of it (this happens at Real Madrid, Dortmund, both Milan clubs and many more big clubs in Europe). For matchday ticket buyers, set the price in August so it’s not a surprise to anyone two weeks before the game that they have to pay £58 for what is essentially just the early round of the competition.

It’s 18 months too late now but the Pep Guardiola Stand should have been driven and driven and driven as the atmosphere end of the stadium by the club to create a buzz about it being exactly that. It’s been very poor planning to leave it as late as two weeks ago to drive it like that. But even so, let’s drive it now, not one press release, let’s get out on the socials and on NW Tonight and Granada Tonight and drive it as an atmosphere stand. Get people exited about it and want to be part of a proper atmosphere stand at City that we’ve not had since 1994.

Increase Safe Standing in the Guardiola Stand to half way down the tier. Have an block that is unreserved so mates can stand together, same in SSL1.

Stop kicking Blues out of the stadium, banning them from the stadium and upholding their bans even after the Police have told City they’ve wasted their time because the Blue who has been kicked out and banned has actually done absolutely fuck all!
If they keep treating our fanbase like they do sometimes, like we are cunts who should be treated like shit, dismissed and ignored, and they’ll lose fans forever; treat our fanbase like we should be, like we are the heart+soul of the club, like we are precious to the culture of this club, and they will have fans who never stop attending.

Put NFC scanners all around the outside of the stadium so people who stay to the end of the game can scan out and earn extra loyalty points.

It was ever thus back to South Wales.
After midweek games i had to train it back to Crewe , sleep in the waiting room, then catch the 5.30am train to Cardiff & straight into work.
Fuck doing that at my age ha

I usually ask them to pour me a fresh pint when I get to the bar instead of them passing me one that was poured 10 minutes ago!
The collection point for the token system in SS3 isn't at a bar unfortunately so you don't have this option. If it was sat there for 10 mins I'd tolerate that, but it's well over 30 mins now.

Metrolink are recruiting and training up more drivers but technically it’s not simply a case of adding more trams. Various reasons already covered previously.

I like the bridge idea near Briscoe Lane but I doubt it will happen. The road under the railway onto Bradford Road is a no brainier but I think someone else owns that land now.
The main excuse for not increasing tram frequency is overloading the power supply. But trams go nose to tail in some areas so it can be overcome.
