I had read that it was painted.....yep thats correct the rust colour was not rust it was rust coloured paint.
and it was awful and a hazard!

suppose an oil-rig is a bit ott, or a pyramid maybe, seriously though something like the space-needle with a revolving restaurant on top to reflect the ambitions/wealth of ADUG, with an illuminated blue moon on top.

And me. I remember the first time i saw it and knowing what it actually represented already, it was awesome. Restored to former glories it would have looked awesome again.
