2nd: Writer - with a private income so that you don't depend on it. Roughly what I am, the private income being my pensions. (I wish I had had a private income at 25, but I didn't.) That way you have no pressure. The task of a mainstream, jobbing writing is very pressurised indeed. I decided some years back I didn't want that. (Good job, as it turns out.)
