This is the time of night where i get cheered up feeding the badgers,the females have done their bit and got the buns in the oven

They have lost a lot of their rough fur,i can tell them all apart,they are like any families they have their positions,the babies of last year are now bigger and make way for the new babies,they won't come for a few months yet

Obviously i am not giving them bread anymore,i have kept my green grocer in business for 10yrs with all the bird food i buy so we have done a deal,i keep doing that and he gives me fruit and veg that he can't sell/give away as they are old stock for the badgers

I take a deep breath of the night air and calm decends
