Cooked a very nice fillet steak with some chips, I'm a bit full.
Same plus peas.
Had mushrooms with mine, got it from morrisons, don't usually do supermarket meat, but left the pub at 3.45 had nothing in for tea, so nipped into the one on the way home, good quality to be fair, just looked at the price £28.99/kg robbing bastards.

Bought couple pheasant breasts from local farmers market, roasted them after marinade in little olive oil, garlic, mixed herbs and black pepper. Along with new potatoes and veg.

It'd be cheaper to buy a whole pheasant I would of thought. Was it good, find pheasant can dry out very easily.

£2.50 for 2 good size breasts, I usually go to same bloke and alternate between pigeon, pheasant and rabbit.

Was very tasty but I think I have been lucky cooking it so far, always plenty of marinade and either roast in foil or grill for about 6/7 mins each side

I can't believe some of the prices, Fillet on Ashton market from Pearsons butchers at £38/kg, I get fresh English for £12.50 wholesale, absolute robbing bastards.

Pheasants really nice if done right. Treat it like duck breast (although dont start in a cold pan) Season with salt and ground juniper berries, seal quickly in a hot pan, then in a hot oven for 6-8 mins.

Spanish eggs i think she said, eggs with chorizo peppers, tomatoes chilli done in the oven, the nicest thing i've eaten for a long time, last nights effort was nice as well, prawns, crab meat,in cream with garlic, peas and chilli with a little paprika and lemon with pasta, when she went out today i rustled up a cheeky little chips chicken nuggets and fish fingers with peas, the standard of food deteriorates when she's not here!

I choked my chicken earlier this week, actually cut it's head off but it's all dressed and ready for the oven. Making beer potatoes, cauliflower cheese, broccoli and a couple of leeks I just picked, fried in butter on the side. off to the pub for a couple of swifties first
