I live in Swansea and if you are planning on a few beers on the Sat/Sun night head for Wind Street (not Wine as suggested). Its a bit Oldham/Bury/Rochdale/Stockport on a night out but if you are male and dont pull you've got issues.

Or just too ugly........

If anyone wants a quieter pub or a meal with the kids etc p.m me and I will offer my advice.

Is there a thriving gay community / bars you can recommend?

dont know if anyone needs a ticket for this game, but it looks like we have 2 spare. We were 2 short but after using every contact we had we have ended up with 2 extra.

I have sent you a pm about the tickets. Are they still going?
havent been to swans for bout a yr now, wich family/quieter place u recommend

Moved to Swansea from Manchester last October. The town centre is fine. I moved due to work and work with some swan fans and they are decent lads. Sometimes difficult to understand them and they struggle with my manc accent. If any of you blues need to know about any of the decent pubs in the town centre or near the ground just pm me. In the 6 months I have been here I haven't had any hassle at all.

Hi Swans fan in peace.

As mentioned above Swansea is a really good night out with everything on one street that is closed off.Everything from night clubs, resturants, casino and cinema within 100m of each other. The lads who are staying at the Grand Hotel little warning for you. That part of town is extremely rough with alot of the homeless passing during the night so keep an eye out.Only 5 mins walk max to Wind street however. One final word of caution saturday is rugby day so the city will be heaving with piss heads from middday onwards so normally by 6ish you cant blink without seeing a bawl!lol. However normally by 9ish the city is quieter than normal due to the early start.

Enjoy.

...greetings from Swansea City. Anybody staying over will have a decent time. This is 2012, after all. Wind St is excellent for a night out, and the game promises to be decent, too.

Fancy a Swansea-centric preview? Get mine, here <a class="postlink" href="http://pierre91.blogspot.com/2012/03/swansea-city-v-man-city-match-preview.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://pierre91.blogspot.com/2012/03/sw ... eview.html</a>

Have a good weekend and a great season. Best regards and respect.

Cheers for the info. I'd forgotten all about the rugby, no wonder all the hotels are more expensive than normal for this weekend.
