So I assume this means we will be playing at 4pm on the Sunday and then only 48 hours later on the Tuesday? Well, as long as they get United on the TV on the Wednesday then I'm sure that makes it perfectly acceptable that we have 2 games in 48 hours........

The football league website says United are at home on the Wednesday - which I assume means we play on the Tuesday???

They always do a great job of managing to devalue the league cup

Very true - used to be a great competition - twice winners of course!! - confirmed on the City website now - they must have heard us!!

It is on the OS now:

The Blues will take on Paul Lambert's Villains in one of five all-Premier League clashes in the third round, and will face midlands opposition at this stage for the second season in a row having knocked-out Birmingham City last year. The match will take place on Tuesday 25 September with a 7:45pm kick-off. Ticket info to follow...

48 hours later - jokers! Still, a full change XI should still beat Villa I hope.

Hopefully plenty of youth players are involved to.
