City boys we are here,sh*g your women and drink yo
It all seems to have gone quiet on the proposed new ground that FCUM want to build.I'm sure that Mid Sept. was given as the date that we residents of Moston would find out if we were getting an unwanted football stadium.
Can anyone with a bit of insider knowledge let us know of any/lack of progress in this matter please.

Looks like it's going to be October now - reason is, so many objections / letters of support were sent in, they needed more time to go through the lot of them! It could still get put back a month if they havent gone through each letter yet!

And it also has to go through the charity commission too.

They also got beat in the FA Cup yesterday ;)

I think most of their fans have gone back to watch nitid with their tails between their legs cos they're winning stuff again?

Nitid not for sale. Boycotting until they want an away ticket, or they're playing City or Liverpool

Its deffo going ahead. We had the tender enquiry in work a few weeks back. To be honest it looks quite good and it has a lot of facilities for the public so it will be good for the kids and local teams in the area.

It has one large room that can be split into three rooms for local people to hire.
There are a good number of rooms in the area that people / groups can hire if they need them.
Let's be clear about one thing. FCUM and supporters keep banging on that this will be good for the local people. Maybe it will.
But it will be very good for FCUM. First and foremost it will be good for FCUM. They want this stadium ANYWHERE in Manchester's boundary (and I have no problem with that, fully understand that) - but don't be fooled by their claims of ''this will be good for Moston'' - what they mean is (but never say) it will be good for FCUM.

They are being given for FREE a piece of green land (in an area where there isn't much) and with it a share of £650,000 of council tax payers money, to build a 5,000 capacity football stadium.
Meanwhile, the Sure Start Centre right next door to the planned development is being closed down as Manchester city council don't have the funding (but are blaming the government for the cuts.....)

A tender enquiry doesnt mean that anything is 100% certain, they can look to see what companies would charge for certain areas of work before any decision is made so they have can see whether its within budget IF they get a positive outcome to there planning application.

Are these lot still going? I thought they'd have got fed up with their mid-life crisis by now.

So no lucrative televised FA Cup matches against Rochdale and other Football League opponents for FCUM this season then.
Not that they were ever in it for the dosh anyway,at least not according to their manager!!!!!!!

Exactly.......... I mentioned this (them agreeing to play against Rochdale on the Friday night for live TV, when FCUM fans sing how they hate Sky and will never dance to their tune) - and the reply was ''the game was on ESPN''!!!!!!!!!!

Oh so that's alright then ha ha ha ha ha ha
