to win something as a City fan? I've spent 18 years of my life without that feeling.
Dunno. I can tell you what 30 years feels like though.

Liar. You've seen us win the Fair Play League twice, the Thomas Cook Trophy 4 times, and the Joan Gamper Trophy. Not to mention the Divison 2 Play-Off Final trophy and the Divsion 1 Championship. What more do you want? ;)

Actually we didn't win the Fair Play League, other teams beat us but were already in Europe ;)

i started supporting city in 66 the year we won the 2nd division watching jonny crossan lift the trophy, never thought two seasons later i would witness an unbeleivable game at trafford to put us in front of the race for the title ,having watched the late georgie best score in the first 30 seconds,i then saw city grinde away at united for the next twenty minutes untill the king scored the equaliser, city showed no fear not scared to lose the ball to them not scared to tackle not standing off in totall fear and wonder, then in the second half tony coleman fired it over high from the left there was the late big geogie heslop to head one of the most violent headers into their net, still no sitting back wondering will we keep them out, then colin ran into there box only to be brought down with malice, as colin was being carried off he lay on the touchline while franny stroked the ball in past stepney, 68,000 in the ground with 58,000 staring in disbeleif, i new then the title was ours it was that game that won us the title champions of england not the one at newcastle, it will come again blues with a little bit of tinkering, in all my years of watching city this is the best team i have seen since the late sixties early seventies, the 81 cup final side wasn,t far off being there but bad team selection put payed to that? but i will tell you one thing about winning it will not feel like being a united fan because arrogance is to be a loser to go out just to take the piss noing you havn,t even seen your team live, only on a tv and the only thing in your life is being a glory hunter? you will feel pride noing you have been part of the progresion to being a proper fan.

I remember going to Wembley TWICE to watch Man City, won one and lost one, BUT I still felt proud that my team got there and I know it will come again and feel just as good. PATIENCE BLUES it will come.

what a stomping post.

I Have been a city fan for three years:And as we play now i feel like a winner
every day, titles are important, but as we say in Sweden ;The goal is nothing
compared to the beautiful road to the goal !!

I remember watching King Kevs Division 1 title winning season. Awesome watching us there, taking on anyone. Most of the time winning. That was my first taste of silverware.

Rochdale fans kept the faith for 41 years and their patients paid off I was lucky I saw a City side that won things in the 60s and 70s, just be like the Dale fans and keep the faith.

PS. Well done Rochdale.

Been a City fan since 1978 when my family moved down from Scotland (I was 10). My first mate was a City fan, so fate decided. I've been asked so many times if I wish that my first mate was a Moan Yoo fan, and that way I would have enjoyed 25 years of success.......same response every time NO FUCKING WAY.

I've loved every single minute of being a blue. I missed my biology practical exam to go to the 81 cup final. When I got back the teacher reckoned I would live to regret it. I thought he was a tosser then, and I've not changed my opinion, and that biology practical would have done me fuck all use over the last 22 years in the Army!

You can't beat being a blue. My favourite season was King Kev's season when we came up from the Championship (or whatever it was called then). Kinki was absolutely awesome, and it was some of the best football I've ever seen. Fond, fond memories.

I know a few trophies along the way would have been nice, but it just doesn't matter. We're blues, and I think we're who we are because we don't have a cabinet full of trophies........we've stuck together during all this adversity, and I hope we're the same when the trophies start rolling in.

I've waited 21 years.

Put it this way. It will soon become much harder being a United fan than a City fan and here's why:

United fans our age have grown up with them winning everything, with them buying the best players in the world, with them having all the money.

Well the tide is turning, no longer can they afford the best players in the world, Ronaldo gone and a question mark over Rooney, I seriously believe he will not stay there forever. No longer can they win everything with the current squad, Carling Cup this year, they will not win the Prem and no CL, no FA Cup. No longer do they have all the money.

Us as City fans have grown up with the opposite and now it's our turn. Trust me, it will be much harder for them to come to terms with whats happening now than it has been for us!

I was at Wembley in 76. My main memory as a teenager was the lack of segregation. A load of Geordies grabbed me at the end but they only wanted me to join in on Blaydon Races, which seemed infinitely preferable to getting battered.
