Obviously as a club it looks like we're on a total reset after 10 years of dreams

A new manager...new back room staff new players coming in & players going out...new style of play...hopefully the 115 put to bed one way or another etc etc

Obviously exciting times ahead and a lot of trepidation all at the same time

So where do folk see us in 2 or 3 years time?

Obviously it's going to be another rollercoaster ride every single day

I know I’ll be on my own here when I say this but if we did any wrong doing with the charges, a relegation would actually do me and the fanbase some good I think.
Re-light the fire in us. Get that ‘spoiltness’ out of our system that Peps given us.

A year away from CL, title chasing, weird fans from the red clubs being obsessed with us etc…. A re-set as it were.

Then come back fresh after a year away and rise to the top again. You need some bad times to enjoy the good times.
Peps been that good he’s made me forget the pain we had in the 90s.

I know this is bizarre for a football fan to sort of want a relegation but i know what i mean ha.

With all due respect, fuck that!

Just you.

Haha, sad thing is I’m not even joking.

Also intrigues me to what players woukd stay etc.

Anyway, I’m sure it won’t happen but if it did, I’m telling you, would do everyone of us some good in the long run :-)

Change is ad good as a rest brother, throwing toys out of the preverbial pram is not going to help the club in anyway. From a buisness point of view, it would set us back. I know where your coming from but i think a fresh management team and new ideas is exactly what youll enjoy along with most of the fans, you will still get the uncertainty, the unpredictability, the fun, the camaraderie. But to throw a grenade in the years of hard work wouldn't be the best idea.

We can and will get that reset with a new manager without the club being absolutely wrecked by relegation. PSR restrictions would absolutely kneecap us and take us out of the running for the foreseeable future, not to mention create a rebuilding project that may never get out of 2nd gear.

Maresca likely isn't winning the league with 100 points or doing the treble. I'd be happy with just hovering in the UCL spots for a year while he establishes his style and then hopefully we go right back into the title hunt. We're the only club to have qualified for the UCL every season since 11/12. Hoping to keep that going.

115 is the big one, I have this thing in the back of my mind that if we were nailed on guilty it would be over and done with, and that gives me hope we will win the current process.

As for matters on the pitch, I'm not convinced about Maresca coming in, but the club haven't let us down since the take over.

I hope for the same result Slot got when he took over from Klopp.

First off, thanks for not questioning my sanity like everyone else and actually taking the time to try and understand my strange viewpoint. Ha.

You are obviously right that from a business and financial aspect it would be a bit of a disaster for us.

Suppose I was just looking from a feelings point where a back step or the worlds against us type thing would be good for the fanbase in the long run.

Winning the League is all that matters. It would not only improve the mentality of the players, individually and collectively, but would also send a message to others that Guardiola’s era was exceptional but not the exception. Nothing would terrify the authorities more than us winning it next year, especially if done at a canter.

You have failed to apply foresight to your desire for a reset.
Engage reality and think of what a hellscape we would have to endure for literally decades, while you hark back to the those heady times of smelling of piss on the Kippax.
The days of you doing a Friday to Sunday triple-header while catching the game with your mates are gone. Leave that to the young-uns.
I've put in the hard yards and have my precious memories, I don't want any fucker stamping on them now.

Yeah you are probably right.

Don't really see our style of play changing that much tbh, the whole club is set up to play the way we do, watching the youth teams they all play the start from the back keep possession malarkey.
To be honest I would rather see a change in the way we play, yes it's won us loads and I'm grateful for that, but a lot of the time it can be quite boring and surely I'm not the only one thinking that.
Saying that, if as it seems Enzo is the man, then our style will pretty much be the same as it has been for the last ten years
