How ironic one of me brothers had just been round, shown him me new watch and he mentioned how the gym he works in a geezer left a Brietling watch in a locker, new it was worth a few bob and managed to get it back to him,how releaved he was said it was 5g worth.myleftfoot said:i am the very same, dont like extravegant jewellery or rings. i wanted a watch for special occasions and also to treat myself.
all depends on your budget. i looked at all the fashion favourites and rolex etc, but they all looked a bit showey. i wanted something understated but quality.
i decided on Brietling of Switzerland. very well respected in the trade and have a long history.
i looked at the brochure and picked out about 10 i liked and sent the wife off to buy it, they bent over backwards for her in the shop and £3000.00 later she hands me over a top watch for our anniversary.
it will be passed down from father to son like in pulp fiction....only this one hasnt been up my arse...yet!!!
