There are loads of world class goals. Overhead kicks, mazy runs, volleys etc but this one just literally made my jaw drop. Faced with a more than decent defence and the ball falling to him in an instant, what would someone normally do? You'd expect a look to the right to see if anyones on or to be really cheeky, a chip into the box. Not this guy though, he decides to trap it, to a shimmy and then dink a precision shot into the only place available in the goal. If we are not counting City goals, Shearer smashed in a volley against Everton at St James' Park a few years back. Absolutely stunning strike. And, though it pains me to say it, Rooney belted one in on the run without breaking stride against Newcastle at the theatre of debt 4 or 5 years back. Given was in goal for the loony toons and he never got anywhere near it. It was a far better strike than his shinner against us.

The OP has changed the title of the thread. It was initially called 'best goal you've ever witnessed?', and this one popped into my mind instantly.
