Not really a twist but the end of Donnie Darko is bonkers. Still can't get my head around it.

I've watched it 3 times and had a completely different view about what was going on / what it's about each time lol

The Crying Game, when the character undresses for sex and turns out to be trangender.

It caught me so much by surprise that I blurted out "She's got a dick!!!" to my eternal shame.

And then you had to put your own back inside your trousers

Probably quite dated now but only 20 years old.


In more recent times I liked the ending of Contagion, with Pangolins / bats ending up in soup bowls then next thing world wide virus pandemic. Could never happen could it ?


The ending of Crash (2004) was quite thought provoking too.

Incidentally, the remake was utter gash!

Angel Heart though De Niros name was pretty obvious to any scholar, the mickey rourke reveal was good.

no plot twist has ever blown my mind in a movie I can recall those mentioned were interesting but not jaw dropping
