Half way around the world - from Cape Town to Halifax at Christmas 1979 / 1980 (we lost!).
A local halifax supporter heard my S African accent and called me a "fookin cockney"!
I was at boarding school in Cheshire during the 1960's and was one of the few City supporters amongst all the rags.
One of the teachers was a City fan and used to give me free lifts to the games, including the 4-3 victory away at Newcastle in 1968 that sealed the League title for us ("we took the leazes end"!)
