Whats the greatest thing about Manchester apart from city?

I love this building in Manchester City Centre (St Georges House). With the Town Hall, Central Library and the Midland Hotel in the same area I think this is one of the best areas in Manchester to see real architecture. Just hope they don't mess the area up when they redevelop that ugly building in St Peters Square where the Dutch Pancake House used to be!

The birthplace of the first computer, so without Manchester we wouldn't be on this forum right now!

I also know that the University of Manchester receives more applications from students every year than any other University in the country. This shows just what a great city is for not just education but also culture and nightlife.

You don't realise what a wonderful city this is until you go to another city in the UK or even abroad. No matter where else I visit, I always look forward to returning to Manchester, even though it pisses it down constantly!
