What's the most obscure goal you've seen in a City match in

I can't remember who we were playing but it was the season we last went down from the Premier League. One of our defenders cleared the ball on the halfway lane, and an opponent charged it down. The ball smacked his legs, before deflecting over Weaver's head, who was about 50 yards away.

Goater's against Notts Forest, where the keeper rolled it out to the defender, but the defender wasn't looking. Goater simply took it round the keeper and rolled it in.

I think there was one where Paul Walsh charged down a clearance from the keeper and the ball hit him in the face and flew in aswell.

Negouai's hand of god against Rotherham has to be up there too.

Certainly this for me, as mentioned it was against Charlton.

From this season Zabba v QPR was a mental goal

Lescott v Spurs where he fell over a dragged it in with his arse

One from a few years ago was Spurs away just before Christmas, Bianchi scored which was odd enough but I'm convinced Chimbonda punched the ball in yet nothing was ever made of it. The shithole I was staying in London didn't have a tv so I missed MOTD and I've never seen the goal since. Probably fuck all up with it.

Oddest thing Ive seen on the pitch was Paul Mcshane trying to get up by doing some kind of weird back flip thing when we beat Hull 5-1. It didn't seem to be caught by TV cameras and no I talk to knows what I'm on about when I bring it up. It still makes me laugh now

Remember the Paul Mcshane flip failure at South stand end very funny
Think Chimbonda was also offside when he scored and possibly free kick was wrongly awarded

Cheers mate thank fuck for that, I now know I didn't have a dream about Paul McShane wriggling around like an upturned turtle

I was at the games that most of the previous posts mention.

Luton at home think it ended 3-0. Ref gave a free kick (or didn't) can't remember which but White scored from it at the North Stand end. I'm sure someone with less booze inside them will have a full memory of it.

I remember David White plopping one in from forty odd yards out, I think the keeper was outside his area and wrongly assumed the ball wasn't in play and White just stroked the ball into an empty net. A couple of weeks before that, White had the ball a bit nearer the goal and I said "go on have a crack" and someone a few seats behind said "he's not going to score from there, mate". It was a strange goal alright.

It's just come back to me. We were offside and the linesman flagged as the ball went to Luton keeper. The ref waved play-on but the keeper didn't see him and rolled the ball out for a free kick to re-start play to where White was stood (where he'd been offside) and he stoked it in.

Yeah I remember, a friend of ours came to that game ( it was their first for many years) and ended up having a stroke, hope it was nothing to do with the score line!

Steve Redmond against Luton at Kenilworth Road.
Evans the chairman had banned away support and we had no allocation,I lived in London at the time and went up there on the off chance.
A bloke gave me ticket and it was in the players family section,Redmond equalised and I'd hardly breathed all game and then I went mental, cracking volley if I'm not mistaken.
I was there for that one as well but in with the big bank of Luton fans behind the goal Reddo scored in. Think we ended up blowing a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2?

Favourite mad goal that no-one's mentioned was Lakey away at Blackpool in the cup about 1988? Losing 1-0 in the 93rd minute, we got a free kick on halfway, lumped it into the 6 yard box, whereupon all 20 remaining players formed a giant scrum over the ball and there followed 30 seconds of the most madcap rucking you'll ever see before Lakey finally cannoned it in via the crossbar and the back of a defender's head stood on the line. The City end behind the goal went absolutely mental!
