Beer = diuretic.

Which means it doesn't cool you down it dehydrates you.Although the Pimms does the same thing i'm chucking in loads of fruit and water based stuff so it passes.

My understanding that beer is a diuretic. However I only drink beer that is more than 50% water, which compensates the dehydration, just like your fruit.
