What's With Checking Season Cards Before Entering Your Block

(Everyones moaning ATM, so I thought I'd continue the process untill the club sort out every issue the Blue Mooners bring up :-) )

Don't know if it happens in any other block, but before you can go into block 110, you have to show your season card to the steward, who's stood at the top of the steps.

Why?

And yes, I do find it annoying that I have to show my card to prove I have a seat in block 110. Surely it's another security/H&S step too far. Just let me(and others) get to our blocks and seats with as less hassle as possible.

Does it happen in the family stand? ;-)

Its due to doubling up in seats............so I was told.

I assume it only happens in the "standing" sections, no chance of it happening in EL3!

I'm in 105 and didn't get a check...didn't see anyone get checked.

yeah...theres no need to check if your block sit down mate

i went for a piss during the first half, came back down 111 about 30 seconds later, and had to show the steward my ticket, again!
