Whats with Newcastle fans?

Their fans are alright - a bit dafter than most, but not like the Rags or Lids or Milwall fans, or owt like that.

The club are a disgrace though - setting themselves up as a safe house where the dregs of football are welcomed with open arms to sign up and earn an outrageously inflated wage irrespective of their background, like buying both Bowyer and Woodgate after what they got up to at Lids, then buying Barton off us (for which I'm eternally grateful) when anyone with half a brain could see the guys an accident waiting to happen. The way they treated Bobby Robson left a lot to be desired too, and they've never quite got back from that.

Any road, to summarise - their fans aren't the problem in my eyes (although they are collectively as daft as a brush), its the club for whom I have no sympathy whatsoever - the only shame is that that fat tw*t Freddy Shepherd won't be at the helm if they do go down!

I dont sympathise with the fans at all! They have a self righteous attitude where they think they have this divine right for success! They can fuck off....just because they get 57,000 people watching them every week doesn't mean they are a big club! It means they are a well supported club! What history do they have? Why do they deserve success? They are nearly as bad as Spurs fans for it! I hope they go down and do a Leeds, I'd piss myself laughing!

No domestic honours since 55 does make those crowds pretty special, one club city or not.

Their overall history in terms of trophies ain't that different to ours.
