I got a pair of the headphones you're talking about way before the footballers got on the bandwagon. I was at a Music event in Miami and was lucky enough to trial them pre release and they're quite simply fucking awesome.
I spent £295.95 on a pair of the Studio's as soon as they were released in the UK. Gareth Bale wore a pair of the far inferior Solo's in his post match interview last night.

Indeed. When you hear the sound quality, bass and treble though the price you paid pales into insignificance.

The main difference isn't the quality its the outside noise, big cupped headphones block most outside noise, some of the more expensive ones actively block it meaning you hear nothing but music even on a plane or in a loud place.

Find it funny that almost every god damn footballer on the earth is using the Beats by Dre, all because of status (or their looks). Ask any person who's an expert on audio and he'll tell you that they are awfully overpriced for what they're actually worth.
