We did, indeed. The servants, bless them, were kept busy keeping the fires topped up. But, I suppose, they looked on it as a privilege, being employed by us.

Breakfast Dinner and Tea, only posh people call tea dinner when they are at home. Its only called Dinner when you go out and eat.

My dad and his pals used to take butties to work in 'snap' tins and called them their'twenty', because they had 20 minutes break at midday to eat their dinner.
