Go to either of them on my dinner hours. Both nice pubs.

Brown's in Heywood is my local. Lovely, friendly place withe top bar staff and the nicest pub in the 'wood.

It was The Railway, but that closed down about 18 months to 2 years ago, and was demolished about a week ago!! The Pomona, The Holdsworth Arms and the Reddish Vale have also been closed down (although all four, The Railway included, were shitholes anyway). All told Reddish is absolutely wank for pubs, I end up in North Reddish Working Men's Club if I'm out for a few locally, or to watch the football, cheap beer and I used to work behind the bar when I was a student.

Olde Cock, middleton. But if i have a choice it would be The Marble Arch, collyhurst/Shudehill area but its 5 miles from where i live so dont get there as often as i like. although everytime city are at home is as good of a excuse as any!

I stick to the Kronenburg. it flows pretty freely in there so it is always a good pint. I've only ever been in the Trev once and wasn't so keen. My mate lives in the Beech road mews just down the road and has lived in Chorlton longer than me. He goes in the Horse & Jockey all the time so I just go in there with him!

sorry mate misread your post and thought you said your mate lived in the beech pub. Anyway not been in the jockey for quite some time. used to be loads of us that went in and was packed thurs friday sat and sunday but personally dont think its the same now.
