Whats your mood regarding City right now?

We bought sterling on the strength of his performance as a left winger at Liverpool. We bought Delph on the strength of his performance as a centre mid.
Sterling gets put as second striker, Delph gets put on the left. We lose our shape and can't operate as a unit.
We got 2 centre backs with no Pl experience that don't get any cover because the midfield is told to push forward.
It's just been a case of buying things we didn't need combined with not buying the things we did. Add into that a manager that's tactically inept /stubborn /blind and that's where we're at.

After spending millions and millions, three injuries should not effect the amount it has. The real problem seems to be tiredness (again, bullshit reason for these 'stars') and lack of passion/eagerness.

We've got a 22 man squad and 8 injuries. We're in 4 competitions.

Of course the players are going to be knackered when there's only 14 of them left ( 3 of whom are only just back from big injuries and another 2 have been plagued by injury all year)

No other group of fans in the world would think tiredness is an bullshit excuse when these guys are doing the jobs of 2 players.

There has been far too many sub-par performances for me to feel confident. The injuries have been too much for us to cope with.
I cant agree with those posters who blame the backroom staff for that.
The game is so frenetic, the modern pitches are harder, the number of games relentless, are more likely imo.
Not sure about next season, Pep may be the best manager but looking at the squad and how time has caught up with some of our best players, i fear one season will not be enough. It would be the same whoever came in of course. If it hadnt been for uefa and it's bastard ffp, things may have been different, but we'll never know.
If we perform as we did in the second half against spuds them i'll be happy, irrespective of results.

You might be right mate, im just in a very venty mood haha

Cool, as we have a cup final to look forward to and who knows how the rest of the season is going to unfold. There are going to be lots of twists and turns until the end of the season.

Pissed off in a year where Chelsea utd and Liverpool are nowhere near the title race. We have the best infrastructure in the league and have invested millions in the squad we mate struggling to stay in touching distance of the title race and are playing predictable boring football

still on cloud 9, I'm not arrogant enough to not be enjoying where we have come from and a fly in the ointment is all it is, we have a future that all envy and am loving every twist and turn and for the record I've just put another £20 at 7/1 for the prem, £20 is easy come easy go, so a gamble it is..... however we've been here before and not one of the top 4 can say that but us. come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Frustrated beyond belief, deflated to the point of apathy, and absolute disbelief that we've managed to piss away another season with this manager in charge.

Anyone worried about us dropping out of top 4?

Not at the moment but I base that more on the poor quality of our nearest challengers than anything else. If United had any sense they would sack LVG now and give Mourinho the job, if they did this I would be genuinely concerned about us dropping out of the top 4.

Not at the moment because the rest of this league is bobbins. Nobody is stringing any sort of consistency together. I think the rest of them are so poor that Chelsea will finish 5th and United will finish 6th and that tells you all you need to know about this league.

Yes thats right, he proved what a top manager he was when the pressure was on at chelski!!!!!!!!!!!

Resignation at present. Our form is pretty terrible, we're incapable of stringing wins together and we're falling adrift of 3 sides in the league, with no indication that we'll be picking up too many points going forward either (next league match away to Liverpool, where we don't exactly have a brilliant record).

We've a shot at the Capital One Cup, but honestly who would be surprised to see us falter and Liverpool take the trophy, given how we've performed of late? We'll likely lose to Chelsea in the FA Cup, it would have been difficult anyway without the ridiculous scheduling. We'll not win the Champion's League, not even be close, how are we expecting to be able to get the better of Barca, Real, Bayern or PSG when we can't seem to pick up wins against sides far weaker than them? The league, whilst not mathematically gone by a long shot, isn't looking too healthy. 6 behind Leicester, 4 behind Spurs and Arsenal, just 12 games to play, with 4 being United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. We've won just 2 from our last 6. It's very difficult to see us turning this around, given the complete lack of form and the huge number of injuries.

I feel like every weekend is going to be the turning point that sees us return to our form from the very beginning of the season. By Sunday evening I'm in full on teenage emo mode; listening to The Cure, writing introspective diary posts and staring vacantly out of windows as the rain bounces back off the pavement. I hate you Manuel and I wish you had me aborted.

By Monday I'm back to a strange mixture of long term optimism and short term acceptance.
