Whats your mood regarding City right now?

It's only a game of football.... Enjoyed it when we were shit, enjoyed it when we started winning, enjoying it now. But it's only a game of football.

If this was all I had, then I'd be worried.

You mean you have two lives? Football AND non football.....god damn....

If, I’m honest, we’re struggling to accept that everything about the club has changed, and not just the bits that make us feel better.

In the bad old days, I never gave up, on the chance of winning a major trophy. However, I always believed that we’d do it, in a sneaky Millwall, Cardiff, or Southampton sort of manner, reaching Wembley by avoiding all the decent teams, and then somehow hanging on desperately against Arsenal or Chelsea, before a painfully emotional penalty shootout victory.

Of course, in those dreary days, we yearned for a Moyes, an Allardyce, or even a Curbishley, just to make City, as good as they could possibly be. In short, we were crap, but we came from Manchester, and the footballing world respected us.

Of course, it’s easier to be respected when you’re crap ,and maybe that's the point.

We’ve won a few trophies, we’ve had our Aguero moment, and now we find ourselves in the Last 16 of a tournament, which to be brutally frank, most of us despised for almost two decades.

We’re even averaging over 50,000. but are we happier?

Wembley for the 8th time in five years, and we’re moaning about the prices?

3rd, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, and fuck me, we might finish 5th?

It’s all gone very strange, and I’m as guilty as anyone.

Frustration and annoyance. That squad of players is capable of so much more in terms of consistency of performance. Yes, every side is capable of losing games (don't we just know it down the years), but there have been precious few really top notch 90 minute performances this season. Certainly of the level that a side containing (when they're not bloody injured!) the likes of Merlin, Kun, Yaya, KDB, Vinnie, Raheem, Joe etc etc) should be able to achieve. It seems like we've got the handbrake on when we should be accelerating hard. Ah well.

Just can't wait for next season. And pep coming - thats city getting the best manager in the world by the way - makes this season for me less stressful now. For once since the takeover I'm not stressed about winning. I find myself just analysing games now for players who pep could make better eg sterling, and who will go eg toure
I can actually see us not qualifying for the chumps league buy Liverpool winning the Europa or chavsea fluking the champs lg. This wouldn't be idea re super signings, but we'd piss everything else

The swagger that the team had when Mancini took charge is gone, I don't think we will ever come across a more enjoyable period for our club than 2008-2012. We were the unfashionable other Manchester club that went to nearly going out of business to blowing everyone else out of the water in the transfer market.

One minute we were signing Robinho the next we were taking Tevez off the rags, there was a disbelief about where it was going to end.

Turning up at Spurs and sticking five east them and then going to old Trafford and putting 6 past them scruffs. We must have emotionally damaged a lot of football fans by dishing out beatings and the whole away end jumping up and down doing the poznan. We were the upstarts sticking it to the sky four and taking their champions league money and players away.

There isn't a fear factor about us, teams know they can usually out work us and get something, they know we don't switch on when the game kicks off so they can sneak a goal early doors and catch us again when we are laying siege to their 18 yard box.

Pep will have a lot of work to do come June, players need to be moved on and the ones left will have to work harder and be more disciplined in a system. I don't think it's going to run smoothly straight away but will be worth it to get back the belief and hunger that's ebbed away in the last two seasons.

I feel a bit frustrated too. With how it is this year, and how we started the season, we should be pissing this league. Feel frustrated with the amount of injuries we have had, and feel a bit frustrated at how we have performed with what we have had left. I think this meedja business about us being in 4 competitions will turn into a stick to beat us with and the fuckers who run the sport have done a good job at helping them do it; we have 3 games in 11 days in 3 cups. Something has got to give, and this is inevitable, but Im dreading the meedja circle wank when it happens.

For this season? Pessimistic. The team are listless. Last good game I watched was Sevilla away. Even though we're already in one final I can't see us winning anything. In fact, an automatic champions league place is not a given at this stage. Roll on next season.

I'll be in a better mood if by next Sunday we've got a result in Europe & won the Milk Cup.

You want to win a trophy you dismiss as "the Milk Cup"? Imagine the row if he'd fielded a second string side.

My own mood is indifference. I've enjoyed very little of it. Sevilla away was a standout but it's otherwise been few and far between.

How is calling it the Milk Cup dismissing it?
I want to win it!!!

I am seriously worried that the Dippers will beat us next week , we looked shell shocked when they overran us at the Etihad, and I'm not sure that Manuel will be able to come up with a strategy to deal with the Kloppites.

The outpourings for a club with 'istory would be unbearable , as they are now on a par with the Rags for their feelings of entitlement ffs.

I feel on edge, it's like I'm waiting for a miracle, injuries referee decisions and bad teams selection has made it very frustrating, like I said I want a miracle

He's of a certain vintage, it used to be called the milk cup in times gone by.
It's like my Nan calling the radio the wireless.
I don't think he was being dismissive mate.

I feel optimistic until play. I'd love a positive result at Chelsea even a draw, a draw or better in Kiev then a win at Wembley. If we can do that its all very much on for me. Sadly I doubt it.

I feel slightly depressed and deeply frustrated.

No-one can convince me that we have a team more than capable of winning the league comfortably and being much better than our top 6 rivals, yet due to loads of injuries and a piss poor manager we are seriously fluffing our lines.
