Whelan: wigans city incentive

We ought to have a monthly award for the best 'Clarkie'.

Say somebody posts a thread claiming that Fergie has told his players to break Tevez's legs in the next derby. "The Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has issued a challenge to his players ahead of this week's derby clash with neighbours Manchester City. The 69 year old Scot said: 'I want my players to go for the wee man Tevez and hurt him. I cannae stand the player and nothing would please me more than to see Vidic break his legs in two."
The I responded with outrage and posted the reply: "This is bang out of order. Fergie ought to be thrown out of the game for comments like that."
I could then be nominated for April's 'Clarkie Award'.

We could even have a picture of a trophy of some sorts that the unlucky participant would be forced to display on all his posts until the next month's awards.

How about it, folks? Bluemoon's very own Player of The Month -

'THE CLARKIE AWARD'.

I'll second this. Quality idea. Mods must be able to add a signature image for the month and poster in question!!

Surely this will become a coveted award and result in fake clarkie-ing..?

the monthly award for a good post sounds like a cracking idea - though can someone please just clarify who or what is a "clarky"?

Much appreciated.

Clarkie_ni was a registered user on here. After Darren Fletcher was sent-off in the Champions League semi-final, someone posted a thread on here saying that Celtic and Rangers cancelled their Auld Firm game in protest of it. Clarkie fell for the joke. He may be gone, but his legacy remains.

basically now, you can clarkie someone, by doing a clarkie comment yourself on purpose and then someone comments on your clarkie comment which means they have then done a clarkie themselves.

hope that explains it :)

Ah, I get it now. But what if the person you think has Clarkied themselves when commenting on the intentional Clarkie is actually just Clarkie-ing someone by pretending to be Clarkied by the original Clarkier?

Aye, that is a problem.
