Thanks. I've googled it, and it is indeed scheduled to become operational in 2014. Crazy. Are they cutting costs by meplying one man with a spade or somethingUwes Grandad said:I understood it to be March / April 2012 but I could be wrong.
That sounds reasonable, but look at this http://news.careerstructure.com/art...tension-to-create-new-civil-engineering-jobs/ Perhaps that's the whole line and it's being built in stages?bluwes said:July 2011. Ready for the 2011/12 season

Well as it was originally supposed to be open for the Commonwealth Games in 2002 then I reckon it is that same guy with his shovel. He's probably due for retirement or at least a testimonial !Marvin said:Thanks. I've googled it, and it is indeed scheduled to become operational in 2014. Crazy. There's a lot of work involved between Piccadilly station and Holt Town, especially with regard to re-routing existing utility pipes and cables and building tunnels - where the line runs under the forecourt of the new apartment blocks for instance - you may have seen the excavations on Pollard St.
Not seen those, one of our structural engineers might know.Marvin said:OKlancs blue said:There's a lot of work involved between Piccadilly station and Holt Town, especially with regard to re-routing existing utility pipes and cables and building tunnels - where the line runs under the forecourt of the new apartment blocks for instance - you may have seen the excavations on Pollard St.
Do yu know what all those heavy rocks are doing on wooden crates. they've been on the side of Pollard st (think it's Pollard St the road with the funny lamp posts). I walk down that road on the way back from the ground and wonder what they are for
