When does Yaya and Kolo go to Africa Cup?

Hopefully we can have a word with their FA.

The Liverpool second leg is on the 11th, so good chance they will agree that he can go after that.

Think you mean first leg, but I agree we may be able to keep him until after that game if we say pretty please.

Nope! First leg is on the 3rd!

-- Sun Dec 04, 2011 3:32 pm --

I didn't realise the game against Liverpool on the 3rd was a league game. Thought it was CC semi!

The African Cup is from 21 January - 12 February, so when Yaya will leave ?
I think he better not leave before 11 January after the Liverpool game.

I seem to recall we were able to get Kolo to stay for the Wolves game two years ago even though it had been "called up" they agreed to him staying 2 or 3 days inside that 2 week period.

Can't they just pull out for political reasons? The Togo bus incident last time around springs to mind.

Yaya's statement to the media....'Due to the dangerous incidents that have sometimes shrowded tournaments like these, my family and I have decided that I will be staying in Manchester for the duration of the A.N.C. My brother hasn't decided, but as he's a bit old and dodgy, and somewhat of a liability (going on what we saw v Norwich the other night) and hasn't played much at all recently, we aren't losing sleep over his decision. Thank you and good luck to my Ivorian brothers. Be safe and send a postcard. You can find me at C.O.M.S, Anfield, Stamford Bridge and a whole host of other famous grounds around England over the holiday months.''
