When Is The Club Going To Stop Selling Tickets In The Home End To Away Fans?

Unlike 2019 where fans were leaving by the same exits and a City fan was nearly killed by a Schalke hoodlum (he was punched and cracked his head on the concrete floor).

That was the same setup but in 2019 most were able to get tickets in the away section, in 2008 it was a massive novelty. That was nothing to do with City fans in the home end, in 2008 the trams were attacked, but very civil when watching the game.

Wouldn't it be better if everybody could just grow up and tolerate people supporting another club? I go to many games in Germany and see away fans in home ends all the time without there being a problem.

No, because them being in our stands paying ridiculous amounts of money for tickets is what is driving prices up and driving proper City fans away because it’s pricing them out.

The away stand hasn’t been full for any CL game this season yet their fans are in our seats? Shove the cunts in the away stand for fuck’s sake. That’s what the away stand is for.

Plus City’s own Ts&Cs state that away fans shouldn’t be in the home sections. I’ve read them to the club in a phone call made to me from the club about this issue.

Am not defending the club.
But block 210 last night had over 50 away fans in it who all jumped up celebrating there goals. The stewards supervisor said the tickets were issued to Fifa sponsors in the main Heineken. Police told them that 4500 fans travelled from Holland. City sold them under 3000 in their own end. Stewards started ejection them individually after 85 minutes and that was due to City fans telling them to do their job. CTID

Are you going to contact the club regarding this?
MCFC's supporter charter states:
"We are dedicated to ensuring that everyone in our care or attending our activities feels safe and free from harm.
The Club takes safeguarding very seriously and is committed to creating a safe and positive environment for
everyone."
Maybe if enough people contacted the club/supporter reps it would be highlighted?
I don't know how MCFC can think this is acceptable?

When I contacted the club about this exact issue after the Celtic game, their answer was to move me out of my seat on CL nights away from sections where away fans are in the home stands.

That didn’t resolve the issue one bit for our support as a whole, it just removed me from the area so I’d probably stop complaining to the club.

BBC match report ridiculously quoted 5,000 Feyenoord fans. Wasn’t half that.

5000 travelled the police told City’s stewards. So maybe the BBC heard that.

Why don’t our club put the fucking netting we have to suffer at away days in Europe I felt like a fish in the North Sea watching Barca a few years ago.

Needed! Dynamo Zagreb fans were pissing in empty bottles and throwing them into 110-111 when they came a few years ago.

Away fans shouldn't be given tickets in the home ends as UEFA insist on all clubs doing when the away end doesn't sell out. Why is it when we go abroad and we so much as fart at the wrong time, the riot police are all over us. Yet at the Etihad away fans constantly are allowed to do as they please regardless of the stadium rules. UEFA will issue them with a paltry fine and it's all forgotten. The club should go to UEFA everytime teams comes to us and say they will not be allowed back at the Etihad until as such time they can actually watch a game without throwing objects, drinking alcohol, bringing in flares etc. GMP do your job as you can't expect so spotty student to throw fans out and conduct better searches and if it means fans have to arrive three hours before for proper searches then so be it. And netting should be hung don across all three tiers to stop objects being chucked. We have to suffer it, why should European clubs when they travel to us.

You’re an example of it’s easier to remove (a complaining) City fan, than it is easier not to remove European away fans/Ultras.

City (and GMP) knew there were going to be loads of Feyenoord fans all over the ground. The Feyenoord and the Dutch Police would have discussed it with City and GMP in advance.

City will never comment, but if they did, they would say they couldn’t do anything about Feyenoord fans getting tickets in the home end.

TBH, I don’t think City are arsed. They’ve let it happen before with Celtic, Real Madrid(which was shameful from City) etc. City will bank the away fans ticket money in the home ends and move on.

Someone has already been seriously hurt.

We played Liverpool in 2022 in the Carabao Cup and a teenage girl was left needing stitches after a pint cup filled with coins was thrown from the Liverpool end above.

City learnt from this and never put away fans above home fans again, not really they don't give a fuck

I’m fully aware of that. I was at the game. As you’ve said though, the cup was thrown from the Liverpool end. The discussion is away fans in home ends and how two sets of supporters are treated differently.

Some netting last night would have stopped the missile exchange with 115 and the away fans, including the seat that took off from the away fans in SSL but thankfully didn't hit any Blues when it landed in 115.

It was pretty close to properly kicking off last night, not helped by our capitulation on the pitch....
