Yet kids who live within a stones throw of the etihad in some of the most deprived areas in the north west can’t get tickets.. it’s great for the kids that attended, but lots of schools in Manchester don’t get any tickets.City organise lots of school trips from around the UK. My school from Birmingham attended the previous champions league game. The students follow lots of different teams. They come from deprived areas of Birmingham and don't get to attend live games much. They were sat in the lower North Stand (I'm in the second tier North Stand), so I was able to keep an eye on them and they were thoroughly enjoying themselves and were in great spirits. I spoke with some of the sixth formers the next day and they loved it and have great memories for life (despite not being City fans). One of them has only been to 4 live games and 2 of them are school trips to City. The PE teacher that organised the trip is a plastic Liverpool fan, so it was good for him to see us score 5! Where I sit lots of season ticket holders don't seem to attend European nights, so it's inevitable that City want to cash in with tourists and school trips.
Do villa or Birmingham city not offer any tickets?
