Not an estate pub but the Blossoms in Stockport had Two Ridgebacks, no where near as scary as the landlady :-)

The answer is no. Joey Holts pubs, The Nelson Urmston The Roebuck Flixton and the The Melville Stretford all had proper roofs, proper landlords/ladies that were far worse than any ally.

Presumably the missing bit of the roof was the flat bit and there is an Alsation lying dead in the rubble. It's very sad.

Plenty of Pubs in Hulme had them,
All sadly gone now.
I had many a good night in a lot of these.
