Apologies to the general response but it annoys the hell out of me when people make comments such as one has. It is too common place on this particular site and makes the normal fan reluctant to post.

Thanks all anyway, rant over!!!!

Do you defo need an access card though as the people from work wouldn`t want to buy a card for £20?

access cards are free mate. the city card is the one that costs more, and i believe entitles you to buy tickets earlier than regular access card holders.

remember there may be a limit to buying on bulk though, im not sure, but i think there is a cap on what you can buy to try and stop touts and stuff
I think you can buy a few paper tickets per membership. Not sure though.

What exactly do I need to purchase a tickets. I haven`t been this season and I have told four or five people at work who would like to see a big club the prices and they want ot bring kiddies and have a night out.

I haven`t been because I live down south now and can`t afford to come back as much anymore and this offer makes it affordable.

I`m only asking as years ago you needed city cards and all kinds of stuff.

Cheers in advance.
that says it all for me

your pathetic.

I agree. A fan wants to bring some mates and gets bitched at. I guess they should stay at home and we can watch the match with a half full stadium eh? Tit. The more the merrier and we might need the 12th man, so bring your mates, kids, neighbours, whomever. It'll be nice to see it full mid-week.

so when i go to get my tickets like every other round i might just have
to queue up this time.
IMO the fans that have been to the most UEFA cup matches should get preference before anyone else, including the final!! The attendance's have been bobbins, supporter loyalty should be rewarded through this. There are plenty of people who will be jumping on the bandwagon for the semi and final that haven't given a toss about the competition before now, and these people will take ticket's leaving some of the fan's that have been there from the start scratching around. The same thing happened in 1999, i know people who got ticket's through the club that hadn't been to Maine Rd for year's. One person in paticular took his rag girlfriend for a "day out"!!!

100% agreed, I've been to all the home games including Barnsley! And to Schalke and Copenhagen also.
If we get to Istanbul I'll be either begging for someone to sort me out or paying top top price for one. This is where the loyalty points system does fail imo.

Will the third tiers be open from the off?

As i don't fancy having to wait a week for City to open them, and have to pay more. Want my own seat as well.

I presume they are as all the other UEFA home games they have announced 3rd tier is closed.
No announcement and selling them cheap as so I'd 99.99999% say the 3rd tier will be open.

I hope I am on one of my rest days for this one (I will get a ticket anyway as I am on tickets direct) Had to give it away two weeks ago

Is the only way you can get an acess card through the telephone as I have checked on the website and it only mentions city cards..

Also, is the policy that you need an acess card as a minimum to get a ticket for the Hamburg game? I'm in the same situation as Buppa and am hoping to fly in for this game and WBA but am holding off until i can secure tickets for both games...

well, once you buy your tickets you get automatically assigned one which will be used for buying tickets to other games, such as the baggies.

as for whether you can get them online i think you can, try buying tickets when they're on "general sale" and they should issue you a supporter number, and an access card automatically.

if you cant buy online without already having an accesscard (as i know you need to log in to make purchases) just give em a call, and it will be sorted pretty soon.

hahaha!

well, i've heard all the horror stories, but honestly, in my experience they've been great. the only hiccup was when i wanted to get tickets for my sister and i rang up, ordered her an access card and all that and it hadn't arrived by the day of the game. but they gave her a new one in about two minutes at the stadium box office.

What exactly does it it say to you? That someone now lives a long way from Manchester and has a family, so paying extortionate amounts of money to watch football is no longer one of his main priorities?

Thought so.

As for the original question, just ring them up, tell them you don't have an access card but want tickets for Hamburg and they'll sort you out with one for free.
