Thankfully in a way, never. He'll be the ruin of that club because the bullying control freak old bastard wont be able to just go and will move upstairs where he will hang over and haunt whoever replaces him. That will not be good in the long run for them and in time he will massively tarnish his own legacy when folk in the future look back on it, together with that row over the racehorse. Buying Van Persie was a sign of desperation. They lost on goal difference but instead of fixing what every rag in the country said needed fixing, buying a decent midfielder, someone like Yaya. He took the quick fix, broke his own rules on buying players and brought in Van Persie to get them the goals they were short of. You can see his thinking, but it's a short term fix for a manager hoping to bow out with a win. I think it shows the character of the man that his first thought was his own glory and not the long term benefit of the club.
