Where did all the Flags go today 3rd Tier

Correct my friend
I'm really pleased to know that there's blues based there. I live in Didsbury now which isn't far but I haven't been back to oddies in ages and it's a great place with lots of good memories for me

Never understood how my dad's drink needed topping up at a rate of 3:1 versus my lemonades though...

I was thinking of doing something like this mate but wondered if it would be a health and safety issue with it being above other fans below. Not sure what to do really, possibly get some weights sewn in to it at the bottom?

Was going to text you yesterday, but forgot with everything else going on mate. Great idea about getting some weights sewn in.

As someone who sits on the first row of the 3rd tier in the South Stand, those flags being blown about & back over the barrier are a right pain in the arse & block your view of what's going on.

Every game this season we have spent far too long having to keep pushing them back down so we can see what's going on, so much so that after 10 mins against Newcastle we had had enough & we pulled it up & tucked it in the barriers. Probably didn't look very good we had to do it so we could enjoy the match/ I can't say I was too disappointed that it wasn't there on Saturday from a selfish point of view.

I love all the flags we have, I agree they all look great & the stadium looks & just feels better when there all out & about. If you have a flag that is going on the top tier of the South Stand then please put weights in them to keep them from blowing about otherwise I'm afraid there just going to keep getting tucked in & back over the barrier so we can see the game.

Cheers

without wishing to start a haberdashery thread, one of the lads got his misses to sew some curtain weights into the bottom of the Oddies flag, works a treat

I think i may have been guilty of this mate as our (mid cheshire branch) flag was pulled over the barrier a few weeks ago.It would piss me off as well. I will get it weighed down for the next home match mate and monitor it for a while to make sure it won't obstruct your view :-)

We used to hang the Wigan blues flag over the second tier before the led's went in. Double sided rug/carpet tape worked for us or talk to the club about Velcro strips.

Ha, no worries pal. Like I said would prefer to have them there as long as not in the way!

Nice one
