You can get it every year if you wish, it's not a one time only deal.

I know someone who's had one each year since it started.

So blue members can't get a value gold as their first seasoncard yes? Only asking cos a relative wants one next season (me and mum been season ticket for over 20 years solid so i'm not clued on up how to get one from scratch!)
