I'm really glad the club have finished that exclusivity of selling our shirts to the club store. If we want to be a top club in Europe, we need to market ourselves as widely as possible. Get our shirts on racks throughout the retail stores of the UK, get the merchandise on the walls behind the tellers alongside Utd. Liverpool. Chelsea, and Arsenal.

Were competing on the field with the big boys, let's do the same on the high st.

I was shocked today to find the shirt in both sports direct and JJB in Portsmouth, although typically one rail of city shirts had been put in the middle of loads of rag shirts. So like all self respecting blues when you catch site of their shirts you tend to feel nausious and turn away, only to realise that the shirt you want is in the middle of them, one of the shop staffs idea of a joke i suppose or they are clueless about football. But more importantly I did think City have finally arrived!

Was just in Shanghai at the 580 Market (for those who know the area). Saw LOTS of new rag knock-offs and the Barca shirt. Out of curiosity, I asked if they had any City shirts. Showed me a cheap replica of last season's shirt and I said it was last season's and not the new one. Said I was the first person that knew that!

Asked about City shirts in general and she said they do not sell very well and Rooney shirts and Messi shirts are their best sellers. I said I was from Manchester, but lived in Chicago, and the reason they do not sell as well as ManUre shirts is because City fans can usually found in Manchester and not everywhere else in the world, and that City shirts for the past few years have been excellent and HIGH QUALITY, which is why the cheap poly ones do not sell, even if City fans come looking.

Then she asked if I wanted an NFL jersey and pointed to a Chicago Blackhawks Hockey jersey!!
Go figure!

Whilst back in Brooklyn last week seen a Woman and what looked like her lil son wearin one comin off the 4-Train whilst waitin for my 3-Train at Utica Ave , She had last terms jersey on and the kid had the new one on with soccer boots round his neck so imo must of juss come from one of the Academys downtown !

I saw it in in Sports Direct in Manchester, JJB in Manchester and the Market Street City Store, ended up getting it in the City Store as it was only about £2 more with my discount and ended up getting some socks too (not football socks just normal everyday ones but obviously City related). I don't really want any badges or name/number printing on this one as I absolutely love it as it is and getting a name/number ruins the look IMO as it's all gold/yellow printing for Etihad etc and then the name and number are white which just doesn't fit in with the colour scheme of the shirt.

WORD OF WARNING !!!!
I picked mine up from the City Store yesterday and was told by one of the floor assistants,that they were on the small size.
I tried my normal size (well sort of) and I did need a next size up.
Might be worth trying one on,beforehand.
