Where is the single most beautiful place you have been?

South shore, Bermuda, pick your spot and not see anyone all day and just revel in the sea and sun.

I think I stayed there at the Fairmount. Stunning but was too hot for me and a pack of minstrels was £8 quid. I took my family for a kfc one night and it cost me £100 quid! Was paying 12 pound a pint in the hotel. Crazy.

A few years ago in Majorca, my wife and I were sitting across the dinner table in the hotel from an elderly couple (about my age now!). They both had a very "refined" way of talking, and when I asked them where they came from, they replied that they lived in a "small village nestling in the foothills of the Pennines" - I kid you not. When I asked where exactly this was, they replied "Dakinfield"!
I my bestest Ashton accent, I told them where we lived, and their faces were a picture. Apparently, they lived on the council estate side of Boyds Walk.
I've often wondered if they were called Bucket.
I was dragged up on that estate.

I have been all over the world, but there is no place I have ever been that is more beautiful than Scotland. I really mean that.

You sound like every jock I have worked with all over the world. Always banging on about how wonderful and beautiful Scotland is but they don't live/work there.
I agree that some parts are quite nice. There is a certain balance between the scenery and the locals, they even each other out in a good example of ying and yang

I live here. Some parts are quite nice? High praise indeed. Maybe you need to visit more. And see some more.

Magicpole does live there though. Only because he can’t fit through those prison bars though ;-)

Thinking about this this morning and I am going to say Fiscado in kefalonia. Absolutely beautiful.
About 5 years ago I was sat in a harbour restaurant in Fiscardo, which as you say is very beautiful , I was having a nice evening meal when an old boy came over from one of the mega yachts that was moored opposite in his powered dinghy. He was all dressed up for the evening. He began climbing ashore and fell back into the water .The waiter and I burst out laughing, before politely hauling him out.He thanked us and made a hasty retreat back to his boat......so so funny

Smokey Mountains, Tennessee. Gatlinburg to be precise but the views driving down were breathtaking, took me about an hour and a half to drive 4 miles as we seemed to stop at every corner to get out.

All the nature in a small patch was quite moving.
