The Pike Fold Blackley. Christmas night lock in for regulars which my mum and stepdad were. I was 13 at the time and was given half a pint of carlin black label!

My Mam and Step Dad ran pubs in Salford for years so mine would have been the King William 1V just off Trafford Rd very early 70s so I would be about 13, might have been a pint of Watneys red barrel as it was easy for me to pour

First time in a pub was the Golden Lion in Didsbury when I was 16.

But I used to play league cricket from 14 and got drinks after the game.

First time pissed and ill was when I was 15 and had scored a half century and I quaffed most of the jug.
