At home close to Jacksons brickworks Newton Heath, towels and hot water, not in a soppy hospital with nurses!

Which street mate?

Nevellie Street, a prefab on the way up to the market.

We were just up from ten acres, Edmonton rd/Staplehurst rd. Spent a lot of time in those clay pits. I remember when the brickworks were still running.

That's ok if the hockey didn't catch you, used to fish the square pond or the cut, know Staplehurst rd , moved to the bottom of Surbiton road later, played in the concrete ARP water reserve tank. stopped Roy Cheetham a few times for a kick about when he called to his parents.

Stepping Hill. Then we went to live with my gran in Dalton Ave, Rusholme. Happy days; used to get in to Maine Rd at 3/4 time most home games.
