Well the ward I was born in isn't there anymore. Think that building has been knocked down. But it was on Oxford Road, sandwiched between Rusholme/Moss Side/Longsite.

That was the one they built around 1970. The previous one was on Oxford Street Whitworth Street, where proper Mancunian's were born :-)

It's just occurred, but my mum was involved in midwifery/neo-natal nursing at St Mary's, Withington and Wythenshawe Hospitals over a twenty year period from the late 70's to the late 90's so she may have overseen a few of the births mentioned on here!
