Where were you when we were Sh*t ?

I can hardly believe the amount of moaning going on at the moment, even from the radio pundits on Radio Manchester (Jimmy Wagg and Nigel Gleghorn)

A couple of seasons ago we scored seven goals at home all season and had to watch the likes of Samaras and Corradi leading the line.

I know it's not been the most exciting football we've been playing over the last few weeks but give the manager a fucking chance. Whilst he's been in charge we've been missing some very important players through injury and the ACON.

At the end of the day we're 5th in the league with two games in hand on 4th place and still in the FA Cup

Well said!------There have been too many seriously grim times in the past to get worked up about the current 'blip'-----Cheer up folks FFS.

"Seven goals at home all season" stupid tw*t!!

We were shite at Halifax away in the cup, but then the pitch was a feckin mudbath, and I was there for that!

Yes, but every time something isn't right is the conclusion "Let's sack the manager - he doesn't know what he's doing".

We will go 4th in midweek, and we could be in the FA Cup Quarter Finals shortly.

You keep talking us down, and we might just end up where you don't want us to be.
How the Fu*K can you Twist my thread to say i keep Talking us Down ? .& the Conclusion is Sack the manager ? I Praised us for getting to the Semis of Leauge Cup . I Sung our praises that we are in the Draw for the Quarter Finals of the Fa Cup . & Over the Moon that we on Course to get a European place .Think you should go to SpeckSavers

I think maybe you should read it again (or take your own advice, as Marvin was replying to someone else).

That tit Wag pissed me off yesterday, he is clueless, you can listen to him and every week its the same shit the same rant. Gleghorn is ok and makes some good points, but Wagg is a cock.

i prefered it when we had no real cash for big signings, just enough to break even every year and most of the players fought like trojans for the cause.

Not saying i dont like having Tevez, de Jong,Given,Barry etc but if we could get the '99 spirit in to this squad we'd be unstoppable.

It Just a Pity now days that it seems to me however we play some Fans are not Happy unless they are Ripping in to the team . Most of them would not have lasted 5 mininutes in the Late 80s &1990s
Most fans who were around at that time have a more realistic view about City.I think a lot of younger fans think because we have money we should make top 4 this season, the expectation levels have gone through the roof. I am sure you like me would rather see us win a cup rather than finnish 4th We as a club have moved a long way forwards in the last 2 years we are getting closer to winning things than we have been for years. The fact we are so close increases the frustration when things go wrong. Everyone needs to calm down and get back to supporting the team and each other. Fans slagging each other off, for not standing, singing or whatever is pointless, we are all blues and Im sure we all love the club, if we keep up the infighting what should be our strength will become our weakness!

Couldn't have put it better myself. I'm what you would call a younger blue being only 21 but I would much rather win a cup than finish 4th. I totally agree about the frustration at slipping up being much greater because we're so close too. This is the best I've ever had it as a City fan though, so I'm not complaining. I love discussing the matches and what went wrong but I just want a bit of stability really, none of this manager merry go round nonsense.

we had this with joe royle in 2001/02 ... we got relegated

I can remember when we were shit when we had the likes of Lee, Bell and Summerbee playing for us!

They regularly let us down big style with some proper ineptitude, especially in the cup games.

Middlesborough, Sunderland and Reading at home, and as for Bury, well, the less said the better.

The only team you could rely on was around for a few years in the mid 70's, when good old Dave Watson made sure nothing would get through. We still did'nt win anything, though.

City over the years have elevated mediocrity into an art form!

Hopefully, times are changing.

It is right to debate when we play bad & we are all armchair Managers who always know where we have gone wrong. I am just glad though that this board was not about in the last 30 years we would all be on anti depresants .Beaten Semi Finalasts of League Cup . in Draw for the 6th round on FA Cup .& on Course for a European Place . Bollocks to all that though ! Lets go back to York ,Bury, Grimbsy ,that would Really have Loads on Here Reaching for the Whisky Bottle.

I was at Halifax in 1980 in the FA Cup? Got beat 1-0 dreadful, and a good 17 years before we were really really shit!! I should have known it was an Omen of things to come, lol!!

When my Dad was young he went all the time, then sporadically due to army commitments, then a bit more often before I was born. I went to Maine Road a couple of times, i'd never sit down, lol. Then, when we moved to Coms, we really wanted to start going again properly and we've had season tickets since, in the CB in the first season and the south stand variously since then.

Since Mancini took over I've become a fan, so I'm hoping go to Manchester next season. When City are in Europe :)

I only followed football sporatically before...
