Where's Ajay's thread gone? & Congratulations! [Merged]

Fine...since certain posters have had the fabled PM...anyone that has it, can they please send it on to me...

Ajay posted some wonderful info regarding behind the scenes happenings at the club. Things like how ADUG has set up a group to look into the financial state of the major clubs in Europe. As a city fun I absolutely love hearing about things like that as it generally does not end up in the media due to it not being 'interesting' or sensationalist enough. Well it is interesting to me and I feel really annoyed that we might not hear about it any more considering that none of the other 'in the know' people never ever provided anywhere near that level of detail. There is more to our club than just stories about who we are going to sign next. I feel very disappointed that a very fortunate City fan who is in a unique position and who is willing to tell his fellow Blues info that we would otherwise never be privy to has been treated the way he has by his fellow Blues. Ajay has conducted himself with dignity throughout and I will admit that I would reacted differently.

I think it is important to put a perspective on the type of info that Ajay could've provided. Receiving info from ADUG in Abu Dhabi does not necessarily mean that you know if Hughes moves his little finger, or if some player is not wearing his underwear during training, or if a player went to town and got hammered, etc. Instead what it does mean is that if a cheque needs to be signed for a major training facility improvement, or for a stadium upgrade, or for a player purchase, or for a contract extension, etc. then more than likely is that they will know about it. Other information will also be available but will be obtained from the reports received from ADUG representaives based in Manchester, who in turn get their reports from Cook and other high level club employees, and who in turn get their info from the manager, doctors, groundsman, etc. I am certain that a lot of details often get lost as the news moves up the chain as it is common in every business. Most of these reports would also take some time to reach Abu Dhabi. The best practice would also be observed so that any info that may be damaging to the club in any way would not be propagated outside for the public. I don't care whether Ajay is friends with someone from ADUG, or if he works for them directly, or if he is emplyed as 3rd party PR, the info he would've been able to supply is gold compared to all the other sources apart from the club itself.

The main difference between Ajay and the rest of the ITKs is that his info was very different and very specific. Add to that the fact that he knew more than he told and it is then not surprising that we ended up with a huge and popular thread that was known way beyond the bluemoon boundaries. This in turn attracted all sorts of people. Interspread with the Ajay posts we were served with ip and address checks, the time stamp checks, the age comparisons, the 'Ajay baby wanting' posts, the never ending classics like 'any more info Ajay', the 'I want info now' posts, the 'I will repeat my insults 100 times' posts, the 'f*** off' non-believers posts, the 'you believers are idiots' posts, the the 'PM me' posts, the 'I got nothing better to do so I will spam this thread' posts, etc. There was a very healthy mix of over-excited posters and drama queens, the attention seekers, the 'intelectuals', blind believers, internet rambos, jokers, genuine WUMs, rags, journalists, other forum members, immature people of all ages, ordinary fans, other ITKs, etc. Quiet a collection. After a while I got used to just ignoring most of these posts and was just looking forward to any updates that Ajay provides considering the fact that there is noone else. However it looks like the very vocal minority was successful in getting the thread into such a state where it had to be moved and then deleted. I strongly believe that the mods failed to act on time. It is also very regrettable that mods did not see fit to act in response to some of the posts/posters that really over-stepped the banter mark.

No-one will ever know for certain (apart from Ajay of course) whether he is a successful science fiction writer from gorton, or a genuine ITK. But to be honest I don't really care. The stuff he has written is a million times more interesting than anything that the media and other 'sources' provide us with. So Ajay thank you and please don't stop posting. I think that it is understandable if you decide that it is not worth to post here. However there are other forums, blogs, etc. where you can air your views. I can assure you that there is many blues willing to listen and they are eagerly awaiting the next instalment.

p.s. Ajay if you have set up a private PM list or similar I would love to be on it.

Good afternoon, fellow citizens. I can only be brief.

1. I find this AJAYGATE thread more entertaining than the infamous 'News from UAE' but that's my twisted view of the world, I suppose.

2. Some of you need to get over yourselves. This is only an internet forum.

3. As usual, I agree with the likes of Dubai Blue and Svennis Pennis. I think Ajay is an Arab Muslim educated here and working with ADUG contacts in Dubai. However, his information, rather like mine from inside COMS and without, is more likely to confuse than clarify. That's not his fault [or mine]. It appears to be more the current nature of the beast [Yes, DB, let's get ADUG representation here on a permanent basis, though that may mean the end of Cook and Aldridge].

Please carry on...

Fluffy: they couldn't care less. Mission accomplished.

You should write more yourself on here; wonderful style.

For Chrissakes, nobody has stopped him posting. If you can't have a bit of banter on an internet forum where can you have it? Now he's presumably gone off sulking with his ball. Nobody, as far as I know, has personally abused the man just questioned some of his 'ITK messages' simply because they were, well, wrong basically. If what he posts actually happens I'll be the first to congratulate him.

In respects to Ajay, i havnt asked if i could or could not divulge the players name, so just PM like he said.

I would'nt as I was asked not to say but to be honest he confirmd what I had been told. All I will say is he did say it wasnt the "BIG" name but another player linked with us, and yes it was done the other day and he passed, the hold up is due to his current team dragging their heels a little to prove a point. So from that work it out it aint hard.

Thanks BB. I thought that Simon Pearce chap was on this forum. He's your man. What I could suggest is that, once ADUG have built their own hotel or two here, they are more likely to stay in their own penthouses. Just a thought...
