I've not been to Anfield before, as regards wearing colours in the city centre and on public transport to and from the ground how safe is it?

I mean normally I wouldn't care that much but they seem quite a bitter set of fans these days, and while not hating us as much as the rags they certainly are envious of City and obviously don't like our city generally
Are you still at primary school?` A bitter set of fans these days`! Fuck me they used slash your face up in the 80`s.

they also used to throw golf balls with nails and razor blades into the away end.... well until they realised you could get money at the club house for lost balls

Usually around Lime Street there is a few boozers in close proximity. Crown is the first one you see on the corner and behind that us another pub which the name escapes me. On the same side as the Crown going away from Lime street is the Vine which is decent and the Adelphi hotel which you can get a cheap pint. Opposite the Crown is the wetherspoons. If you come out out of the station and carry straight on past the bus terminals you will find Yates. Afterwards for a night out Concert square and Mathew street are the places to go

If you're on about the punch and judy that got gutted by a gas explosion a few months back haha. Spoons just across the road from Lime Street's a decent bet as well.

Remember a lad getting slashed on his back needing eighty stitches as he didn't have a Merseyside accent , what made it worse for him was he was actually a Liverpool fan from Cheshire and was mistaken for a blue.
A very scary place then if you were not a Scouser , now it is a picnic in comparison.
Like many grounds at that time one had a sense of achievement in getting home in one peice.

Saw similar thing outside soical club at Maine Road, young lad about 17 scarf in pocket, got few slaps and kicks when he went down. He pulled Liverpool scarf out of pocket and says I'm Liverpool fan and they shouted but not from Liverpool, young lad with us got done as well and he was City fan. This was while we were inside drinking
