wheres steven ireland gone?? (superman)

definitely missing Robbie - when Robbie controls a ball on left Stevie knows the possession isn't going to be wasted so he can make the run towards the box, consequently one of the opposition midfielders or centre halfs has to go and double team Robbie which allows more space for Stevie.

i think Stevie has now lost a bit of confidence which has affected his game further, he just needs a goal to lift him.

I think he is missing robinho. They know eachother's game and are almost telepathic. Ireland got player of the year last year but people over look how much robinho had to with that virtually every goal he scored robinho set or up and vice versa. Also because of the way Ireland plays he needs to know the players he plays with so he knwos what runs they will make and thats gonna take a bit of time with Ade and Barry

He'll be ok because as they say form is temporary..

thankfully, i think he's mentally strong enough to be able to deal with his dip in form. on sunday he was ineffectual, didn't impose himself on the game at all.
he's getting used to this new role - it's strange because i remember some people saying that they would build their team around someone like stephen ireland - he's that good! MH doesn't seem to be doing that.
i really hope his time will come and his form returns. maybe it does have something to do with robbie being absent, it remains to be seen.

I haven't had time to read all of these but this afternoon I have been talking to three United fans and everyone of them said that they rated Stevie Ireland very highly and they were impressed by him on Sunday. They agreed with me that he covered much more of the pitch than any other player, including their own, and that Micah Richards is our liability!!

So Stevie has not really gone he is just quieter and getting on with his job. I just wish I could say the same for Micah. Boy did we miss Dunnie on Sunday!

Personally i think hes had a bit of a knock and hes a bit low on confidence. Give him time, he will improve drastically because the man is class.

He's back - OS

"Stevie Ireland is back home after being taken to hospital following last night’s Carling Cup win over Fulham.
The Blues reigning player of the season was substituted in the 75th minute of the 2-1 win and taken for precautionary checks after complaining of dizziness and feeling unwell.

Tests were carried on the 23-year-old and he was given the all-clear. He is expected to rest today and resume training at the weekend for the visit of West Ham on Monday night."
