Which City game has annoyed you the most?

At Sunderland about 20 years ago when the fuckwit stewards kept telling us to sit down, and threatening us with ejection when we mentioned home fans were being allowed to stand in the next block.
Wow that sounds an ordeal, I hope you are alright all these years on?

United 3-2 when we was 2 up to win the league. What a monumental fuck up that was, the cup final against them, just fucking garbage.

Tried to think of more random ones, can't really recall being angry as such so these two win.

Rag home game last season. Not even close. The way we tossed it off at the end, utterly spineless clueless fucking cunts every single one of the bastards including the manger that game.

Leaving the ground that day I'd literally have sacked the lot of them and I had to ban myself from this forum for a few days.

I don't mind getting beat fair and square but that performance was awful - load of fuckin cowards that day, an embarrassment to the shirt.

FFS I'm getting angry again just thinking about it.

Spurs 4-3 game UCL quarters
Chelsea 1-0 UCL Final
Real Pens game last season

Basically every UCL game that we've decided to bottle. People saying 6-3 Vs United is mental because we won by 3 against our rivals.

We were no better in the return game at the swamp. All sorts of mid and lower table teams won there last season but we hardly created a chance of note and the rags were just as bad.

The spurs CL game, i'm still fuming that the handball wasn't given, the ball literally dropped to his feet after controlling it with his arm, and then for our goal at the end to be ruled out for an offside that not one of their players appealed for or was aware of really was the final straw....still bitter and the f@ckers keep coming back up and beating us!!!

Probably been said earlier but the one that annoyed me the most was the Cup Final vs Wigan.

The players fucking downed tools that day. They ensured Mancini was toast.

Still can’t get my head around what they did that day. Surely there was a better way to have Mancini not be the manager the following season than losing a cup final ….

So so annoying

Can't remember fuck all about that game I drank a litre of rum on the coach down and fell asleep pissed in my seat. Probably had the right idea in hindsight.

European Cup Final, Porto 2021. Pep plays 60 odd games - all season - with a holding midfielder and Fernandinho arguably the best in the world at the time.

For the most important game of the season - and arguably in the clubs history to that point - he ditches the system/team that got us to the Final, and crowbars Raheem Sterling into the team leaving a huge gaping Fernandinho sized hole in the middle. We lose 1-0 to a goal I will maintain to my dying day we dont concede if Ferna is playing. A mind numbingly insane team selection and defeat

CL v Chelsea. We threw it away.
Wycombe away 1999. For me this was the lowest point.
Fenerbahce 1968 . Home leg so disappointing. We missed chances and it was a huge anticlimax. The away leg made us a laughing stock. We might nwell have grown into the tournament. We could have even won it.

All City defeats are annoying and I must have been to 100+ over the years. But the following matches that stand out for me, in chronological order, that I attended and wish I hadn’t:-

1979 Shrewsbury Away in the Cup. (Long trip on my own as a 16 year old and just felt so miserable afterwards all the way back home)
1983 Luton Home (last minute relegation. Could there be any worse...)
1996 Liverpool home (Screaming at Lomas for time wasting by the corner flag when a win was needed)
1998 QPR home (Pollock’s own goal that took relegation out of our own hands)
2013 Wigan Cup Final (Was expecting a walk over but most disappointing game for 15 years)
2021 Chelsea CL Final (Obvious choice, although with hindsight, winning the first Champions League in Istanbul was so much better and more City fans could attend)
2024 Utd Cup Final (City just too complacent)
2025 Palace Cup Final (Thought this was going to make up for a disappointing season..)
2025 Al Hilal (After the exciting win against Juventus I had high hopes for the Club World Cup in some way making up for the Palace defeat. Long way to go for such a disappointing defeat to a club from a league we’ve dismissed as vastly inferior. Embarrassing)

Quite a few annoying moments, but these last 15 years make me feel like I’ve won the footballing fans lottery!

Liverpool at home in the Champions League, 2018. Sane's goal before half time to potentially make it 2-0 disallowed for absolutely nothing.

Even the the usually biased BT were confused as to why the goal didn't stand.

Couple for me.

West Ham at home in FA Cup Quarter Final 2006? Honestly though it was our year. Lost 2-0 I think. Vaguely remember Dean Ashton running riot for them.

Rags League Cup Semi 2010. Lost in extra time. I was honestly gutted that night. Rags taking the piss shouting all sorts of shite out of cars as I was walking back into town. Horrible memory that has now thankfully been put to rest way beyond my wildest dreams!
